Third Day-Custom Reports and Import Subscribers Mailing List

Today, when I showed up, Ben showed me how to track my blogs through Google Analytics very patiently and we also successfully linked my blogs to my Linkedin.

Then, he said how about creating an actual Google Analytics report to me now? He said I would like to see how much traffic from Linkedin for our Top 10 Blog posts. He said you probably needed some time to create it, please feel free to ask questions.

When I started it, I went to the left tool bar
#1 Verify social as a traffic Driver
go to Acquisition > All Traffic > Channels

then it shows all the social media traffic including Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, etc.
I clicked the Linkedin button and saw the percentage of all the pages, then I put specific "blog" to narrow down the range, adding a chart to make it more visible.

Then I went to Customization >  Custom Reports

After that I showed it to Ben, after reviewing it, he said we could come to the next step. While we were discussing more Google Analytics, we realized there were some small features had been updated so sometimes we might try several times to figure out how to get the actual reports.

In the afternoon, Ben first guided me to make a data entry about all the subscribers and then taught me how to import all the subscribers through MailChimp. It was really fun to learn a lot during five hours and we even had time to discuss the design of different people's business cards. He also suggested me a book about the beauty of the design. I would read it for fun sometime later.
